where i go
my wanderings
I'm fortunate enough to live
surrounded by many different
forest preserves & trails of
Du Page County, Illinois.
Some are near & some are far,
but my favorite locations to visit include Blackwell, Meachum Grove, Kline Creek, & the Mayslake Peabody estate which is now converted from a beautiful 1920s mansion into a local nature preserve used to educate & cultivate the natural ecosystems of Illinois!
When the weather allows,
you can also find me searching the cemeteries for lost graves & foraging for the perfect mushroom photo opportunities!

As an introvert, an artist & an explorer, retreating into nature to find new paths is something that has always brought me peace & brings me much joy now that I've made the effort to incorporate the woods into my life as an adult.
I love the warmer months & will often escape on summer afternoons for a solo adventure, but I've also come to truly love connecting with new people & rekindling bonds with old friends
as we take a break from our busy lives to just recharge for a few hours under the trees or along a creek.
I hope to have many more adventures & meet many more fellow travelers along the way!
